Different sub/slave types

What are the differences between a sub and a slave? The thought that comes to mind foremost is that a slave has no right to deny an order. This makes a slave in some ways more devoted to its Owners needs, as a sub can negotiate limits with his/her Owner, and so this can tend to create a sub that has their own needs as the central posit in their relationship. A slave must do as told, with the exception that it should never be asked to commit a crime, as that places itself and its Owner in a morally reprehensible position. A slave whose Owner demands he has sex with a minor always has the right to refuse.

Of subs and slaves, there are a few main types to explore. These are:

• Servant sub/slave
• Pleasure sub/slave
• Financial sub/slave
• Masochist
• Domestic sub slave

A Servant sub/slave must work hard to ensure its Owner has a comfortable and easy life. They have many duties which may include chauffeuring, organization of financial matters if allowed, personal assistant duties such as arranging appointments, paying bills and standing in line at queues so its Owner may sit and relax, perhaps in a coffee shop until the sub calls Her to let Her know She needs attend the counter. Manicure, pedicure and massage are vital skills for a servant.

A pleasure sub/slave devotes their life to their Owners pleasure. This is pleasure in a sensual and sexual sense. A pleasure slave should never be under the illusion that their own pleasure is important or even relevant. A pleasure sub should redefine their vocabulary so that whenever they refer to Orgasm, they are referring to their Mistress writhing in ecstatic bliss. They will be adept at oral worship, able to perform for extended periods without complaint. They should know and anticipate all their Mistress’s preferences and desires, and maintain all necessary supplies to ensure Her needs and desires are met with no inconvenience or interruption to Her. A pleasure slave may or may not be used sexually, but this is always at their Mistress’s discretion.

Financial subs/slaves live to ensure their Mistress may live the lifestyle She wants to live. They will go without in order to ensure their Owner never has to. They will constantly be thinking of ways they may be more frugal, or earn more money in order to tribute their Mistress with more gifts. A financial slave should have a good understanding of their Owners likes and dislikes, favourite brands, favourite stores etc. They never expect a reward from their tributes, as the pleasure She gets should be reward enough. They will never get jealous or dare say anything if Mistress uses any of their gifts when She is taking pleasure from other subs/slaves.

Masochist slaves enjoy taking pain to ensure their Owner can enjoy inflicting pain. Some masochists tend to be quite self centred, and with inexperienced Dommes they can tend to Top from the bottom. A true masochist should take the pain knowing that its Owner gets an intense excitement when delivering pain to them.

Domestic subs/slaves devote their lives to making their Mistress’s life easier around the home. A well trained domestic will feel pain and guilt if it thinks its Owner has to do any work for Herself. As such he will attempt to do all Her work, gaining true pleasure when he sees that She can relax, or play or do whatever She desires without having to dirty Her hands. A domestic will do Her dishes, laundry (hand washing Her lingerie if allowed), vacuuming, cleaning and house maintenance tasks. He will ensure the bed is always freshly made with clean crisp sheets; all house plants are maintained and watered. He will do all of this with no expectation of reward, as being allowed to do it for Her is reward enough.

In reality most subs/slaves will have a combination of these types although often one type will define the sub. A truly dedicated sub will always ask itself why it is not prepared to become a slave, what are the fundamental reasons, and question whether this could actually be a form of selfishness, and refusal to truly submit to his Mistress. A good sub will aspire to be more hard working and submissive every year.
